I'm fifteen years old (female) and ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich this morning for breakfast (on one slice of bread, as always). I'm feeling guilty because I actually ate a whole tablespoon of jelly, worth about fifty calories. Do you think that was too much? I ate a banana, too, so....

A tablespoon full of jelly is nothing to feel guilty about. It sounds like you had a very conservative Healthy breakfast. The only time you need to worry about adding jelly is when you overdo it and consume a large amount.

What's wrong with this society when a 15 year old girl has to feel GUILTY for eating a tablespoon of jelly?? No honey, 50 calories' worth of jelly is not going to make you gain weight...nothing bad is going to happen. You can safely have 4 servings of fruit a day and according to Weight Watchers, 1 tablespoon of jelly is worth only 1 point (most people get 22-35 points per day, depending on age and beginning weight). A piece of fruit is 2 points. You could've had 2 tablespoons of jelly and counted it as 1 fruit, then had 3 more fruits for the day and STILL lost weight! So, stop worrying :-)

No I do not you are fifteen, unless you are over weight don't worry about the food you are consuming just make sure that it is healthy. And if you are really worried participate in some kind of sport, or go for a walk a few times a week.

don't be too picky with what you've already eaten. Just do regular exercise.
