What I want is a small, artistic tattoo, in a place that is not that common. What should I get? Is there a site you'd recommend for an example of a tattoo?
And is there a such thing as a 'glow in the dark ink' for a tattoo?
Thanks

I like the "break on through" tattoo,

There is glow in the dark ink and there are thousands of sites related to tattoos, just type one into Yahoo or Google.

As far as telling you what to get, you should decide for yourself. What I can recommend is getting something that has great meaning to you. You're going to be living with that tattoo for a long time, so make sure its something you want on your body forever. Sure, you can get it lasered off, but that hurts even more than getting the tattoo in the first place. Also, when in doubt, go bigger. Tattoos tend to bleed and blur over time. Small tattoos end up looking like ink smudges. The bigger the tattoo, the better chance you have of it lasting and looking good.

Some places are offering a glow in the dark ink.... but a lot of places are not - which leads me to believe it might be wise to wait a while on the glow stuff. I wanted a small glow star on my cheek, but after reading about the ink, I'm going to hold off for a while until we are sure it's safe. Some believe it is too soon to know, since it's so new.

I know it's not what you were looking for, but just thought I'd throw that out there. Please, before you get one, do a little research and educate yourself, so you know what to look for - for your own safety.

Another idea, wear a temporary for a while.... if you feel akward with a temp showing, chances are you might not be ready for a tattoo... also, Please! No names or band logos... I know someone with an Adam and the Ants tattoo from the 80's. yikes!

i trust ^^^^ take a look at to not get a cutting-edge tribal tattoo. Those after a couple of years wont appear as sizzling (except you're from an exact tribe which i do know you arent). Get anything with that means to you. Look round plenty, move to extraordinary tattoo stores and appear at what they've, so you'll be able to get a regular concept of anything that calls to you every time you seek advice from a store, there'll continuously be one variety of tattoo so that they can keep on your brain, and thats the only you definitely will have to get. If now not, perhaps it'll provide you an concept of 1 you'll be able to feel of for your possess, your possess layout could be even warmer

Glow in the dark ink = probably not safe.

And why are you asking strangers on the internet for ideas for a tattoo that is going to be on YOUR body for the rest of YOUR life??

Think for yourself, and come up with an idea on your own. It's not going to mean anything to any of us.

would you drink anything that glowed? if the answer is no then you dont need to inject it in your skin.

i dont know a site. i do have a recomendation. dont get one that other people suggested. get one you feel represents you or your journey. i mean a rose tatoo pretty but not a representation of anything in my life so would not be meaningful to me. personally i like angels. if i ever got a tattoo it would be of small wings at base of neck. ( to me angel wings anywhere else are wrong. not aerodynamic at all lol)

I think if you have something that symbolized you or a journey you took then go for it. Otherwise i think you will truely regret it.

if you're asking on this thing, you aren't ready to get one. Get one that has personal meaning to YOU...not copying someone else's tattoo that you find on a tattoo website....esp if you want to get one that isn't that "common" and represents you.

Yes, there is glow in the dark ink...

seriously think about it before you go and get one. i have a couple and i wish i didn't have any of them. the worst thing, once you get one you'll want another - it's so addictive.
if you do get one - get it a place that you can conceal. on your foot, side of the abdomen, behind your ear.
there is a new metallic-looking kind of ink that is kinda cool.

My suggestion: don't.
The fact that you are asking us bunch of dopes on Yahoo what kind of damn tattoo to get is idiocy. Why would you do something to your body that is PERMANENT when you don't even know what you want. Draw one on yourself with a laundry marker if you want to play. You won't impress ANYONE when you get it.
