I am against illegal immigration also but, I don't think it makes me a racist at all. I have seen where people can ask a question about something that they are really curious about in another race and someone calls them a racist! I think people would like to learn about other cultures but, they are afraid to ask because they will be called a racist-understanding is key!

Americans are SO into political correctness that the WORST thing you can call someone is "racist." It's like calling someone a jerk, an a$$, etc. It's just an insult.

However, it's an effective insult. People in power are so worried about appearing racist that they'll do anything to avoid looking that way. It's a dollars and cents thing too. People are worried about being sued over racial issues.

If you are anti-illegal immigrant, you aren't racist. If you hate a particular race (and typically for stereotypical reasons that aren't true) you're a racist.

In fairness, it probably makes you out to be a xenophobe if you ask me. No it isn't some pathetic immature way answer a question that someone may know nothing about and you know it! In some cases it DOES turn out to be the truth...and the truth hurts. However, I personally think you're somewhat of a racist.

Questioning is out of order from texans. If you insist on protuding and dismanaging this will be no longer a nice forum. Respect for opinions and intelligence is a must here, too. Last, you are not racist, only optimistic. Racism is always a polite disengagement to serve affliction, so peace and respect abound and dishonor is seen openly, not kindly. Now coming to the first part, insistance is a commision to offence and pardon proper intrigue and investigation, here to those who will respect people with no political power and enough trust in them to work somewhere they are not apreciated for own culture and erratic behaviour. If americans show respect instead of patience, you too will see the help provided to society and general appearance itself, it does not take much, all you need is love, baby. Bye.

because a lot of people that are against illegal immigrants go on and use racial slurs in their question. there should be no racism from anyone. and you shouldn't completely close the borders, we'll just dig tunnels and pay off the border patrol no biggie. please do not just waste millions building a useless barrier. its USELESS.

I don't think it makes you a racist if you want a secure border. I think...if anything...if your against people doing things illegally in your country and want to safeguard the borders, it would make you a law abiding American citizen.

Sorry, that does not make you a racist. Have you seen some of the questions posted up on this forum? Some are good, some make me feel better about myself and my intelligence.

Pardon me, but your question is based on the false premise that whenever someone asks a question about race, they are called racist.
Have a look at this section. It's not true, so now you know you have nothing to worry about:)

good point
illegal immigration is not an issue of race. if white people were coming up from mexico illegally then that is not a issue of race either.

Political Correctness is simply forced complacency!
To make someone unable to voice their opinion they try to make that person's opinion socially unacceptable!

Nationalism is extreme on the Mexican side of the fence and we have every right in the World to notch up ours!

No more Anchor Babies, Benefits, Interference in our Politics by Mexican Nationals(We can't there!), and BUST AND FINE EMPLOYERS USING ANY UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS!!!!!

Nationalism is not Racism!
