I find many people have misconceptions about Fundamental Christians. (misinformation can be harmful) One of them being as you stated, sex only for procreation. I have never met a Fundamentalist Christian that believes this. Most Christians are as interested as anyone else but not as open about the subject in mixed company.
Also, the time of Christ's second coming.....Jesus said that no man knows the time of His return...only the Father in Heaven. Many people have given times and dates for the event but scripture shows that it is pointless to be specific. Jesus only mentioned that "birth pangs" of the end times would become evident.
Many people see present events culminating in the fulfillment of that prophecy in the near future but again, people have a habit of reading too much into many world events.
Edit: Someone above mentioned that Christians do not drink. The baptist church that I attend recently changed its views on the drinking of alcohol. The Bible clearly states that drinking of wine was at least permissible. Drinking to excess is not.

As a "fundamentalist Christian" I have sex all the time!!!! According to Song of Solomon,a book of the Bible, God created Romantic Love and Sex for pleasure as well as pro-creation. We do believe that Jesus is coming back soon, however we still are to live out each day to its fullest. What greater joy then to make more little Christian fundamentalists!!!

Oh no that is not the only reason for sex! It is meant to be for a man and wife to have pleasure with each other! There is a whole book on this in the Old Testament!
No, the world will end at a time that only God knows!
Why do you discuss what you do not know?

If they did all refrain from sex it would be a perfect example of evolution in action. By abstaining they would fail to pass on the defective genes which make them what they are and help to evolve the next generation of mankind into more rational beings.

"Fundamentalist believe the world will end soon". Don't lump all fundamentalist Christians together. Not all believe that the world will end soon nor do they all believe that "the only justification for sex is procreation" as you seem to think.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 warns us, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God."
And 1 Corinthians 6:13b, 18 tells us, "Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without (outside) the body; but he that commiteth fornication sinneth against his own body."
The Bible is telling us that pre-marital sex is a sin and that it is something that unrighteous people engage in. As Christians we are to use our body in ways that glorify God.

The pleasures of sex? What, like, Threesomes, orgys, same-sex, group, swinging, etc??? Doesn't drugs, affairs, greed, and even murder result from some of this? And as far as the "Rapture" I don't know of any passages the refer to the "Rapture." (I could be wrong, so I'll admit that now...) Somebody enlighten me!!!!! (LoL)

(1) no one knows when the earth will end (2) I don't know one believer who thinks sex is only for procreation. Sex is a normal, healthy physical intimacy God designed to be between a man and a woman within marriage. So, with all due respect, you're way off....in just about every claim you made!
