No. It all depends on how she was raisd and even if she goes against what you believe i dont think just because you listen to a certain type of music you are going to be like that. I listen to rap and r&b im not out shootin everyone i see and doing the things that people in the songs do. I guess it all depends on the person.

NO, Music does NOT lead to drugs or sex or rebellious attitudes. PEOPLE lead people into these things. BUT this is where YOU come into play. You do your job as a DAD and keep an eye open as well as your ears and listen to what she says. Sit down and talk with her. And if the friends she has are truly friends they will also help in preventing her from doing things like that. I know, kids will be kids but then there is the line that should NOT be crossed. It is at this point that you will find out how good of a job you did as well as her friends.

No, well it depends on the girl, but chances are, the music won't make her do those things. I listen to rock music and I'm not into any of those.. I might be considered slightly rebellious though, it has nothing to do with music.

No. If that happened, that might be your fault! Teenagers tend to go through weird phases, but you still need to keep on talking to her (without insisting too much either, but still...) and LISTENING to her.
If you talk to her about drug-related problems, without exaggerating things (maybe buy a book on the subject to back up your claims), and if you or your wife talks to her about sexuality, she should be fine. Remember that teenagers tend to not do drugs, and wait longer before they have sex if they actually know about those subjects, and their dangers. Adults think that they already know everything at 11 now, but they often get wrong information, sometimes even by parents who try to scare them away from those things. The result: when they realize that most of what their parents told them is not true, they just assume that they've lied about everything, and do it! If you or you wife don't know how to talk about it, just go on the Internet or buy a book for teenagers about that, and read it. Then, you can talk to your kid about it and give her the book.
Remember: the parents are often responsible for the kids' attitude. Not always, I agree. But don't blame it on music!

I grew up in Cleveland the rock and roll city, I still love rock music and I am none of those things, I am a normal mother of 2 beautiful kids. Let your daughter enjoy the music she likes!

it truly is only a holding from some time previous, quite even as Dad's doted on their daughters extra and boys were taught to be massive boys and be extra stoic. My opinion besides. only wish she has a sturdy courting with you both. there'll be sessions even as she will opt for "daddy do it" or "mommy do it" better than the different. i'm with my son all day so even as dad is homestead he does like dad, yet after 8 hours i'm really dull and that i do ought to set limits a lot extra many times.

I think kids grow up the way they are raised, if given guidance, good parenting, good morals and values, and she is well educated about these issues then she should be fine. The type of music she listens to shouldn't determine how she will grow up or determine how she will make decisions regarding these things.
Our son listens to metal and he is straight edge, meaning he does not agree with doing drugs or drinking.

No its only music. If you raise your child right the music will not influence her decisions. I grew up listening to hard core gangster rap, and i am not out shotting people or selling drugs. I mostly enjoyed the music for the beat.

What year are you in? Rock and Roll is pretty tame compared to what she could be listening to!
