1. It's a way people express themselves. Although, some people go overboard.
2. I don't know. I guess that you better make sure you want it before you get one.
3. I have no problem with them. To each their own.
4. Some people get them for fashion, some to symbolize something important, some people are drunk and don't remember why.
5. About half in my opinion. A lot of people go overboard and will just put anything on their bodies without actually pondering if it has any significance. Some people carefully choose or create what they want.

1. I think tattoos are a nonverbal expression for that person.
2. They don't mean you are "white trash".
3. I like tattoos. But I think they should be tasteful. And I personally don't like alot of tats on women that show. Why? Not sure, thats just my personal opinion.
4. A number of reasons: Rebellion, Expression, Symbolism, Pride, Marking a momentous occasion, A form of memorializing a person/event in your life.
5. I would like to think most people think it through and the ink they carries truly means something. Why? Because each tattoo I have was planned out and is truly symbolic and meaningful for me.

1. no two people are alike so tattoos don't say anything about any person that will translate to another. but i'll tell you what my tattoos say about myself. i value family and friends. i have suffered a loss and it left a deep scar. i have ambition and goals and i will perservere until the end.

2. do not walk into a random shop and get just anybody who has a gun and let them tattoo you. research your artist. there are so many horrible artists and very few phenomenal ones. check out the portfolio. if you are not completely impressed with the quality then you should walk away.

3. i don't have a "general" opinion about tattoos or people who have them. some tattoos are art, some are junk. some people with tattoos are loud and out there and some are quiet and reserved.

4. different people get tattoos for different reasons. some for decoration, some for attention, some for the shock factor, some for closure and tribute.

5. some people get tattoos that mean something, and some don't. all of my tattoos mean something to me but before that they are art. i wouldn't get a tattoo that meant something to me if it weren't elaborate and well done and beautiful.

1. It's not the tattoo that tells you about a person it's their personality.
2. Make sure it's something that you really want. Don't get one just to be "cool".
3. Tattoos show individuallity, compassion, love, memories, etc.
4. People get tattoos to commemorate a time in their lives that they want to remember forever.
5. I think that most people get tattoo that simbolize and mean something very special to them. It's the best way that I know of to commemorate and celebrate that one special time in your life that means the most.
Hope this helps and good luck!

1. It depends on the person. There are those who are just doing it to be cool or have fun, and don't really care what it is as long as it looks cool. There are those who love art on thier bodies and expressing who they are at that time in their lives (like me!) and there are those who only get one for a deep meaning and reason, such as a death.
2.I would tell people that tattoo's can be beautiful, and not just trashy, and that you shouldn't be afraid of regret, because it represents who you are at that point in your life.
3. I think tattoos are beautiful, and I have great respect for such talented artists who wish to paint our bodies.
4. See number one, it all depends.
5. Not most people, only some. I see a lot of people with tats who just thought it was a cool or pretty design.

1. It really depends on the tattoo.
2. It doesn't hurt as much as people say it does.
3. In moderation...because I have 2 of them
4. I got mine to prove to people that "normal" people get them too.
5. Most do. A friend of mine gets on in memory of his family members that have passed away. I have 2 butterflies, one is "painted" like the US flag (got it after 9-11) and has my sons baseball # under it, the other is "painted" like the state flag of Texas.(got it cause my brother thought it would look cool)
