I'm a guy. I am around 5'7"-5'8", smaller build and my weight fluctuates from 112-126. I eat a lot, exercise more than most people. Most guys I know are at least 145. Am I too skinny and what are ways to gain weight healthily? Is this something I need to see a doctor about? im 19

112 is too low, as far as health 126 is fine, personally I would want to be more bulked than that, but I actually weighed exactly that at your age, and my girlfriend at the time said the first time she saw me with my shirt off she got hooked lol. Of course like you I have a small frame, so I doubt she would have guessed I weighed that little.

But I agree with the poster that said fourteen pounds is a big fluctuation, I generally stay within a five pound range. If you are really fluctuating this much on a consistant basis I would see a doctor.

I know someone that was about 120ish and maybe 5'9-5'10 in his early 20's for a while, but eventually that guy gained some weight (maybe 5-10lbs over like 6yrs). It's probably just the way you are. He also ate a lot too and was into sports and stuff and stayed skinny, and I hated him for that! But the fact that you eat and exercise sounds normal, so you're fine. If you didn't eat, that would be different.

Your BMI(body mass index) is about 19-20 which suggests you are just normal weight although the BMI calculation does not consider extremes like body builders.

-Underweight = <18.5
-Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
