I've tried several different featherbed but can't seem to find one that does what they say they will do. Any suggestions?

I don't think a featherbed will help. I suggest you try a foam mattress or a thick foam mattress pad first.

Try a memory foam mattress instead.

sealy tempurpedic is a good bed..very comfortable and dust mite resistant as well. good luck..
