Are you looking for a white or a red?

While I don't do fish, the Kim Crawford 2006 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc could be a great choice. It's citrusy and quite fresh - I saw some at Costco for around $12 and at Target for around $15. It's a top 100 Wine Spectator wine, so grab some if you can find it.

I recently had this wine from the 2002 vintage:

at a Mount Eden dinner at this hotel:

The wine was as stunning as the food and the setting. I'd open and decant this wine when you begin dinner preparations. It has the guts to stand up to the cod, basil, garlic and honey - all intensely flavored ingredients.

I've bought some to drink and some to lay down. I highly recommend it.

I'd go with one of the "grassier" sauvignon blancs.
