I recently won some money at an online casino. When I tried to withdraw my winnings, I was told I must send them some proof of Identification. They say it is standard online casino policy. Is this true or are they scamming me to send them my id and basically I should kiss the money goodbye? (I made the initial deposite using Neteller...)

It is not a scam. I had to send id to Mansion when i won some money on them. Many sites require it .... you can block out some sensitive information if you are worried, but if it is a reputable site, i wouldnt worry about it

To find out if it is a reputable site, I would recommend http://www.casinomeister.com/

I play poker online on several site each days, and do a lot of withdraw each months, never had any problem ever!, And yes they need your informations, but when you sign on a site you open an account and it's at that moment that you give your personnel identification, you didn't do that? Anyway you have a Neteller so you should be all set.

Take care

It it not a scam. Most casinos do require you to send proof of identity. This is to protect you from identity fraud, and from someone else taking your money.
