I am from india highly educated from high class army family I married in california state in june 06 now I have temporary green card which is to be reviewed after two years my mother in law is always harassing taunting me on small issues says all nasty things local punjabi language complains to her relatives loudly all the time my husband says nothing always supports mother he has very poor job i am try to cbest to get teachers job they say just work in store not need for good job yet demand money all the time since arrival in usa I am spending money given by my father I bought car for 77000 dollars money was spent by my father so far my father has spent 15000 dollars in six months now they want more money on every smell issue mother in law taunts me humilates me critisises on every small thing Even if i buy some thing from my own money she complains Attimes she gives filthy abuses in local language that is punjabi of india I am brearing it as I have to apply again for geen card

You do not need to put up with this. You are a better person then that.

They are taking advantage of you and that is not cool! They are being very racist in my opinion and treating you bad! Your husband should be standing behind you that is what the bible says! He married you and once he does that you are his first choice for everything! He is suppose to support you. If you get money from your dad you go do things you want with the money. Don't let people use you just so you can get your green card! There are plenty of nice men available out there that would meet you half way and help pay and not put you down or let others. There is no need for that! You tell him to straighten up or get out!

OMG, that is SO sad! Don't worry! There are things you can do. Firstly, when your mother in law taunts you, just look at her, smile, and walk away. Don't give her any attitude, since you can't, so just leave the situation. If she tell you "Why are you leaving while I'm talking to you?" Just be like "I'm sorry, mother, but you taunting me is not something I want to hear." And try to get away. If she screams more, just don't even turn around, and just keep walking. Is there anyway for you to SAVE your money, without your mother in law knowing, and as soon as you get your green card approved or however it is done, LEAVE her, and live with your dad, and your husband. If your husband is on your mother in law's side, don't tell him about your saving plan. JUST, save your money. If your mom finds out, just say you are saving your money! Good luck. Don't re-apply for the green card and get the hell out of that place. Just leave your husband and go back to your country or marry someone else in this country. Of course you have to serve him with divorce papers.

It's time to run sister. This is not the right family for you. These people are using you and your husband is not good. If he supports his mother while she taunts you then he is not good. Move away from them.

You need to get away from them and call the social servies in your area and get help. NO one is allowed to abuse you. The law is on your side. Divorce your stupid husband . Get out from under their house.
