Should I break up with my girlfriend for someone else?

Alright... here is the story. Before I started dating my current girlfriend, I had asked out another girl. She turned me down. I still like her a lot, but this other girl told me how much she liked me, almost to an obsessive point. I agreed to date her realizing that if I didn't I would break her heart (which was a big mistake) Anyway, I really don't have any romantic attachment to her. She is a good friend, but not the kind of person I would see as a girlfriend.

The Homecoming dance is coming up soon. I want to ask the girl that turned me down to the dance so she can get to know me better and perhaps change her decision. Is that a good idea?

Also, should I break up with my girlfriend before asking the other girl to the dance (if I should do that) or what? I am really unsure as to what to do. Please, what is your opinion?

Whether or not you decide to ask out the girl that turned you down you should dump your girlfriend if you don't have romantic feelings for her. You should probably ask someone else out because the girl will probably turn you down if she turned you down before. If you think your chances are good than go ahead. If not stop torturing yourself

One thing is for sure, you SHOULD break up with the girl you're seeing. If there are no romantic feelings there, you're wasting your time being with her, when you could be in a more meaningful relationship.

Now comes the tricky part, the timing when to do it. If you break up with her before the dance, nobody is dumb enough to not realize you did it so you could be with someone else. If you want to do the noble thing and keep the girl you're seeing currently as a friend, I'd probably skip on trying to see someone else right away, that hurts alot, I know first hand. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't ask that other girl, I'd just give it some time.

Second, do not ask the girl who turned you down before to the Homecoming dance because she will likely turn you down again.

Third, find a new girlfriend to take to the Homecoming Dance.

Ok. first of all, do not dump your current girlfriend because you want another girl. Dump her because you want to. Tell her you just arent feeling anything there and your really very sorry. dont ask the other girl to the dance unless she has expressed some sort of regret for turning you down before. i have been there my chum. there have been some causes that you adult men broke up. What makes you imagine that something change considering then? What she did became incorrect and in many cases you should no longer forgive her. although, be self-intense and see in case you've been the only which force her faraway from you. in case you imagine a mess of this blame is on you, then convinced, forgive her and get lower back jointly. good success.

Hmmm... I don't think either are right sry. If you don't like the girl your with you prbably never will. And the other girl could do something like that again to you. Find another girl or take a chance with the one you really like.
