I had a tooth pulled a couple of hours ago. A molar, and the freezing is just starting to come out now, and now I am starting to feel the pain. Is there anything natural I can do to stop it? also, it is still bleeding minorly, and the said I only needed to keep the guaze on for half hour, but gave me some extra just in case, I used a bit of extra guaze, and now I don't have any in, like I said, I only have minor bleeding, should I keep the guaze in? or don't bother? One last question, when can I eat???????? thanks!

Gargle with warm salt water and you can eat whenever you feel comfortable enough to eat, but don't eat anything too hard or hot or cold...stick with soup.

And whatever you do, do NOT smoke or drink from straws to prevent a dry-socket!

I got my tooth pulled today also...like 12 hours ago. I'm still bleeding...I ran out of gauze but i used a paper towel. my Numbness wore off quite a while ago. Luckily I have NO pain. Last time I had a tooth pulled it was unbearable. I don't know how it doesn't hurt now. I quit using anything for the bleeding. I hate the taste of the blood but it is only like a TINY bit so I guess its ok. Oh and I have been eating ALL day. I even ate pretzels on the opposite side of my mouth. If you hurt you should try soup or mashed potatoes.

I had two baby teeth pulled when I was about 13 as well. The thought of the needle is scarier than the needle itself. It's just a little sting, you barely feel it. Having the teeth actually pulled, you don't feel that at all. After wards you may feel a little tender or sore for a few days, nothing major. On a scale of 1-10 I would put the whole process at a 2. You'll be fine, it will be over before you know it.

when I had mine pulled, it bled for about 1 day, and then I took Vicodin for about 3 days and the pain was gone. It was about a week or so before I could chew on that side - ate things like soup, hot cereal, eggs, ya know, stuf that didnt take much to chew.
Continue with gauze until the bleeding stops.

on the day you had the extraction, you have to put cold compress on the area to reduce the pain and bleeding. you can eat ice cream if you want. and if there's pain, you need to take pain relievers. the day after, you need to put warm compress to make the blood circulate. you can eat soft food, but you should also brush your teeth. just be careful not to touch the area of extraction or the blood clot will disintegrate and bleeding will follow. do not spit or use a straw coz the pressure will disturb the clot. do not smoke either coz it will cause dry socket (no blood clot forms and it will be really really painful). try to rest and do not lift heavy objects. =)

i dont know about natural pain killers, but i took what the doctors gave me! u dont need to keep the gauze in if it is only bleeding a little, but make sure you keep rinsing out your mouth. u can probably eat soft foods tomorrow and harder foods in a few days.
