Umm . . . yes. I've had a golden retriever, a shepard/coyote looking mix, a beagle, a collie mix and a poodle mix.

Uh...yeah. I have had many dogs. As I was growing up I alwasy had a bird dog of some sort. I had pointers and english setters. Then after I graduated from college I got my very first dog of my own. He was a full blooded registered rottie...his name was Grizz. 9 years ago I got a full blooded black lab named Roscoe, still have him. 8 years ago, I got a samoyed, named Duke who just passed last summer. 7 years ago, I got a lab-rot-german shepherd-collie mix, named Tank and still have him. 1 year ago I got a beagle mix, named Sissy for my new step-daughter. And when I married my husband I inherited a full blooded saint bernard named Beuford. All the dogs I, myself, have had as an adult I have adopted from the local animal shelter or rescued off the street...I couldn't have picked better pets from a high rollin' breeder. So, yeah...I've had dogs...got dogs and will have dogs until I die. They are great companions...and great family!

We had a lovely terrier mix stray when I was little. He was the most patient dog you've ever seen. Would ride on the back of the tricycle, get dressed up for tea parties and let us puch him round in the baby trolley.
Now that I'm out of home I have three lovely chihuahua babies. They are nearly four now and the smartest dogs I have ever seen (just a tad bias!).

I don't think I've ever NOT had a dog.
My parents bred and raised Old English Sheepdogs when I was young - they were fun. We had lots of dogs through rescues, some that were placed but many that lived with us forever. After my mother stopped working with the rescues she started breeding Lhaso Apso; they were mean little creatures, but she discovered Shih-tzus, and so now she breeds them, and I do as well.

Yes, many. Besides our chihuahuas, we have a blue heeler. We have owned Jack Russells, Min Pins, dachshund, collie, collie/shepherd mix, poodle, australian shepherd, cocker spaniel/poodle mix, lhaso apso/poodle mix, rat terrier, chihuahua/poodle mix, akita, great pyrennes, rottweiller, lab mix, and many others. I have never paid for a mixed breed dog. Some were given to us, some we adopted, some we rescued.

No, not a dog person.
I was bit a few too many times when I was a kid when dogs were allowed to roam around without leashes.
