My pastor said Satan made the dinasaur fossills to fool us, is that right?

When you read the Bible, Genesis 1:1 it says that "God created the heavens and the earth." Point. There is a Point there and then you read that "The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep".

What you should understand is that between those two phrases could have been passed many many years. keep in mind the way the Bible was translated, some grammar and syntax were hard to translate.

If you notice, first God created the Earth and then it was messed up. You cannot think or believe that God was able to create a mess. What you can understand there is that it might be that during the beginning Dinosaurs and other species existed. At the time that the Earth was messed up, could be when Satan was thrown to Earth when he rebelled and that caused the destruction of the species. Perhaps that coincides with theories of the Ice Age and how the new continents formed (from the Pangaea, the initial unique continent)

Maybe your Pastor created the concept of Devil to fool you or maybe he is just using a tool which somebody else invented.
Paranoid thinking like this means that it is impossible to know anything for a fact because anything could have been arranged as a trick by either the Devil or God. Since the existence of neither God nor the Devil can be proven isn't it more rational to check that evidence which is measurable and verifiable and take those things as a fact.

The first thing to realise is nearly all fossils were buried rapidly and by water. Since fossils can be found on virtually every land mass on this planet, and the Noahic Flood covered the whole planet, doesn't it seem highly likely that fossils are a left over of the age before the flood?

The Protestant Archbishop of Armagh, Ireland, James Ussher (1581 - 1656)calculated that the Earth was created at some time during the evening of Sunday, October 23rd, in the year 4004 BC (according to the Julian calender).
The idea with the dinosaurs fossils was that God created then so that We would have something to look for whilst exploring His world.

I don't mean to go against what your Pastor said perhaps he really feels this. But Satan has never made anything in his life but trouble. God created the Heavens and the earth and allll living things even the living things that eventually dies. Only God can creates satan tries to steal kill and detroy but Christ came that we might have life more abundantly. The donosaurs and fossills and are only more proof of that. We can follow from the beginning of time and see how man has learn but if we try to explain every little thing our minds can't comperhened it all. As the Bible says ears have not heard nor eyes send the things God has for us in Heaven. Why the heck would Satan care to make you believe that the Earth is a different age than it is? If you believe God created the world, then you can believe he created it 3.5 billion years ago or 6,000 years ago, and it won't make a difference, because you'll still have faith in him. Based on science and carbon dating, dinosaurs were real, they're composed of organic elements, so they existed at some point, and we can pinpoint the time that they did.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

There are enough facts in the bible to dispel evolutionist theories without making up some like your pastor did. Tell him he needs to study to show himself approved, a workman that need not be ashamed. At this point he should be ashamed.
Fossils are real remains of real animals. That does not mean that God did not create the heaven and earth.
