I'm really upset about this whole christians vs gays thing. Whenever I ask a question about gays I always get an answer from a christian that goes something along the lines of "I don't have a problem with gays, no sin is greater than another, I love gay people just as christ would" Then I think "Aww, well that's good, I was to quick to judge christians as a whole, they're not all bad" Then they have to ruin that moment by going "I"m not one to judge their sinful lifestyle"...Okay don't...Don't call it that, think what you want but don't refer to it as sinful. Because if gays are so bad then why didn't God put it into his Top Ten? Don't judge them, and don't say you don't have a problem with them if you're going to put them down. Some christians say gays are bad, but same say gays aren't a problem, so what makes you guys so right? Pessimists...

Sinful nature is that inner uncleanliness Jesus referred to that allows us to sin.

Youre in denial that homosexuality is indeed a sin. Do you know what 2 sins are beside it in Leviticus? Child sacrifice and having sex with an animal. That is pretty much what God thinks of homosexuality. Are they sinners? YES. Are they leading a sinful lifestyle? ABSOLUTELY. What makes us right is the strength of Gods law and word which is the supreme authority.

The top 10? Are you trying to pop culturize sin? Sins arent arranged in order of severity first to last, Scripture isnt written that way. Jesus however said that the 2 greatest commandments are loving God and loving your fellow man (non-sexually) and homosexuality violates the most important one!

As well as I can figure it (being gay myself and having had the convenient misfortune of growing up with a mother who's something of a fundamentalist), lust is a part of the sinful nature. "Normal" people (in this context, heterosexuals) don't have the personal experience necessary to realize that lust is not all there is to same-sex attraction. One would think it would be possible to extend by analogy the way they view their own sexuality: They recognize that they are attracted to the opposite sex, both sexually and on some different level (let's just call it love). But they fail to make the insanely easy leap of thought to realize that just perhaps it's the same way for gays—not just lust, but some love too.

That's just my wild guess. That they few "homosexuality" as a manifestation of lust, and that's one of the reasons that it's so wrong.

Of course, it's also wrong just because God says so (apparently he'd rather watch two men kill each other at war than watch them kiss in love).

Are you asking the christian why he says that being gay is a sin?
Can you mention any faith that says it is not a sin?
I believe no religions call it a noble life style.
The difference in people of different faith may be in ways how to deal with it. Not even all atheist may approve of it.

From a Muslim perspective, the best way to deal with it by persuasion, persuading to come back to the natural way, the ways God the Almighty intended for human being. It is not in the genes but a personal choice to adopt this life style. Allah is not pleased with this life style. Will you be pleased if you give your friend a nice pen and he starts using it for digging in the garden?
Why is it un-natural? One has to stretch the case to come up with an argument against this life style and that is "what will happen if all the people of the world just adopt this life style for the next 60 years"? What happens?
Why laymen do not like this life style either? Because they know where will other victims come from. They are not born with a gay mark on their face. The victim could be any from among their children!
This is besides the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Well, I'm sorry that so Christians don't have their facts straight or don't know how to express themselves.

But you know, you can't categorize Christians just like we can't categorize all gay people.

Homosexuality is a sin, just as sex outside of marriage is, and many other sins that people commit daily.

Christians are not "sin free" and judging people is a sin too! God speaks of sexual sin in many area of the bible. Sexual sin includes homosexuality as well as bestiality, premarital sex, and others.

I think people (including Christians) have a hard time understanding that sin is sin, and it really is not wise to judge someone else.

I apologize on behalf of all the other Christians that have offended you . . . . I really do hope other Christians can understand.
