We don't keep our bedroom particularly warm either. I myself could not last for even 15 minutes without covers. He just kicks them off and it wakes him a bit whenever we try to cover him.
IHe doesn't seem cold. How can he keep warm when asleep?
In fact it wakes him up when we try to cover him up. Yes he is dressed plenty warm and no, we don't want to put him in one of those 'blanket sleepers' that have no feet, only a sack, as he does walk around some before bed. Yes he keeps his socks on fine. It's just so weird to have him sleeping with no covers when everyone else needs them. I'd say the room temperature is around 65 or so at night. Thanks to any and all who provide any responses.

There is a type of PJ called Doctor Denton's. They are warm PJ that have feet and zipper up. It's like having them in their own blanket. My son wore them until he was 10 or 11.

Its not a problem. If he was cold he'd cry or cover up or something. If you really want him under covers, try not to dress him in warm pj's and keep the room cooler. Then lay under the covers with him so he knows its ok.

To this day for me its either my body or my feet, I can not tuck in the blankets at the bottom because if my feet are to hot I feel like I'll go into a murderous rage. My mother use to torture me by putting me in those stupid pj's with feet. She thought she was doing something good because I'd always kick the blankets off and she wanted to keep me warm. She stopped after the third tantrum I had trying to pull the feet off the pj's...

Your son will be fine I have no doubt.

My 2 year old daughter does the exact same thing. She will not keep a blanket on her at all. Within minutes she kicks it off. She's a normal heathly girl some people including babies are just warmer then others. My husband is usually always hot and Lexie inheirted it from him her lil hands are always warm even when she has no clothes on or at night without blankets. So I wouldn't worry too much Your son is probaly jsut warmer then you are and doesn't want to be hot and sweaty under the blankets....

I don't know what you are saying cause blanket sleepers are a one piece unit with a zipper from the ankle of one leg all the way up to the neck. Some of them even have a snap over piece on the top of the neck to cover the zipper pull. This is plenty warm and they have legs in them. They come in all sizes. All the way up to adult. And if you don't want feet in them then just cut them off just below the elastic ankle. They are made from blanket material. They are extremely warm.

This is normal. My daughter does the same thing. Try getting a footed sleeper from LL Bean... They are the warmest ones I have seen around. Although, my daughter usually feels warm enough in a regular sleeper unless it's really cold outside. She is like a little furnace at night. I would try keeping the house at around 68 though if he's uncovered.

It's completely normal. Now of my 3 children like to sleep under blankets. My son, 18 months, pulls his off and balls it up to use as a pillow.

If you are worried about his being cold, just get him some heavy jammies. I use thick cloth feet jammies and keep him warm all nice long. He's never cold in the morning and he sleeps all night through.

Relax, Mommy. My 23 month old is just starting to really talk. Two months ago he was exactly liek yours with speech and now every day all of a sudden he says several new things. Either that or he has been talkign and I just didn't understadn what he was saying. As long as she is babbling and communicating in other ways, there is no reason to panic. Undressing herself once she has learned how is normal. Just a new trick she has learned. She will stop before too long, perhaps you can make it a game to put them back on by herself? Our son hs recently started potty training. One mornign he was sitting on the potty one minute but the next was runnign around hte living room in his pants but no diaper. I was irritated with my husband for it and he was irritated with me. Ended up that NEITHER one of us had done it, David had put his OWN pants back on.

I don't quite understand the problem the house is 65 (not dangerously low). you keep him in warm enough pj's so he won't get cold. I think you are doing everything right. I think it's normal to worry as a parent. so I hope I assured you that it seems fine and to let you no me 13 mos. old does not like covers either and she stay quite warm in her little fuzzy pj's. HOW CUTE

My baby will not sleep with blankets. Never has. *IF* I sneak one on him when he is in a deep sleep he will sweat and kick it off -usually waking up in the process.

Also you know the "rule" that baby should be wearing one more layer than you? Ha! One layer less for him or else he cries because he is too warm. He has only cried once because he was too cold and I'm in Canada so it isn't exactly balmy weather.

My daughter does the same thing. She HATES to be covered up. It doesnt matter what shes wearing she still will not stay covered up. I think that if he's cold he'll wake up and cover himself up...if he comfortable sleeping uncovered let him be :) I cant stand to be covered, either. My husband on the other hand has to be covered completely EVERY night even when its ridiculously hot outside. I think its just personal preference
