If so, what for? Also, who with?

Pheasants, waterfowl, wild boar. Shotgun and rifle. With my dad and a German Shorthaired Pointer.

Why do so many anti hunters answer these questions? Why do they even venture into this section if they only intend to prove hunters wrong?

Yes! I started going with my father, when i was around eight. I started shooting at six. I have hunted every possible second for the last 21 years. I use Bow, Rifle , Muzzle loader,Handgun and Shotgun. I hunt every thing from Squirrel to Bear. And if i ever talk my wife into it. I plan to go back to Africa on a hunting trip. I eat every thing i shoot and do not shoot what i would not eat. Unless i need to, as in the case of one recent rabid Coyote. I would rather consume meat takin' by my own hand. That had a chance of getting away from me. Than eat something that spent its entire life just waiting to be knocked in the head. About 85-90% of the meat eaten in our home is wild game. My son just started hunting with me this past season and, my daughter has been shooting since age 2. I try to teach them what a treasure the outdoors are. And i think hunting helps teach them that life is not to be taken lightly. They understand what death is, and that life is a very precious thing. They are taught not to kill just because they can. Just a couple of years ago while hunting, we cut a very nice buck out of a fence. He had been trapped for a while and was near death from exhaustion an starvation. We took him to a local Vet and he recovered nicely.

Yes, I've been hunting since I was 8 y.o. first with my father and then by myself. I hunt Deer, Turkey, Small Game, and even Wild Boar.

I prefer wild game. It is healthier than store bought meat. Less hormones and chemicals.

I only hunt what I eat. I believe hunting is a legitimate form of conservation, keeping overpopulation from occurring in areas that are unable to support large herds for whatever reason.

It is not just walking out and killing. Many times I lose against the game and go home empty-handed. I also just enjoy watching nature when they don't know I'm there; even if I don't harvest anything that day.

I have been hunting. I used to go regularly and it was for deer. I would go with another Marine who I was friends with while I was in the Marine Corp. I no longer hunt for anything. I just tired of it and believe it or not I don't want to kill anything. Don't misunderstand me, I do NOT have a problem with anyone who does hunt, I just have a new look at life and no longer want to hunt anything.

Yep. My uncle, J.B. got me started. I tend to hunt alone but have had friends ask me to help track down a deer they have shot and can't find. If your going to hunt, you had best learn tracking first! I hunt deer, rabbit, squirrel, dove, quail, turkeys, coons, chucks and frogs(also called frog gigging). My favorite sport is float hunting(although I use an air rifle for this), which combines fishing in my canoe and watching for squirrels as I go. Alot of wildlife can be seen as you drift along and this is probably the best way to find areas that have game.

yes, I have gone hunting most all of my life for deer, elk, bear, moose. There is nothing wrong with hunting as long as it is done for the meat to eat or to give to someone who can use it. All TRUE sportsman know this and do it.

Animals were put here to be used for food and all the Bambi lovers aren't vegetarians either.

I also fish, another form of hunting, I have caught many different types of fish...most of them good to eat as well.

I have gone with friends and relatives since I was 8 years old that was sixty years ago!

I have been bear hunting, deer hunting, elk hunting, moose hunting, mountain lion hunting, grouse hunting, turkey hunting, varmint hunting, antelope hunting, and pheasant hunting. I have gone with my dad, family friends, grandparents, my friends, and other family members. Everthing i have hunted i have personally eaten and some of it i have cooked or prepaired myself. I have used shotguns, rimfire rifles, centerfired rifles, and handguns. Every generation of my family (US and european descent) have hunted for food and recreation for longer then I can document...there for that is why I hunt, I like it, I like the meat, and I don't think I am any better then my past family...So I am a Hunter.

Yes. Started when I was 8 or 9 years old. Hunted for dove, quail, pheasant, turkey, ducks, geese, squirrels, rabbits, coyotes, mountain lion, antelope, deer, elk and moose. Always hunt with someone you can trust/ has shown you that safety is their first and foremost thought. With me it's always been my father, brother and most recently my 2 boys (ages 10 and 5.)

Yea, I hunt mostly upland game such as pheasants, doves, chukars, quail, but I also enjoy hunting waterfowl such as ducks and geese. I started when I was very young with my dad. I used to just go and follow him around the ponds when he was hunting for ducks and finally when I was old enough and got my hunter safety he gave me a shotgun and we go every year as often as possible. It's a lot of fun and a great way to observe nature in it's truest form.
