Why did Jacob change Benjamin's name from Benoni?

Especially if Benoni was his mother's last wish?

Genesis 35:18
And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.

Jacob changed his son's name so he wouldn't be reminded of Rachael's death.

Benoni means "Son of my Pain" or "Son of my Misfortune". Jacob changed the name to Benjamin, which means, "Son of my right hand", a more positive name.
