I'd leave them & let them fight their own war.

My plan, increase the number of troops in Iraq to 400,000, like in the gulf war. The Air Force SP and the Army/ Navy Reserves would seal off the country, nothing coming in or out, and the Army/Marines would basically go door to door confiscating all weapons and ordinance from those not meant to have it and capturing or killing all insurgents/terrorists in the country. Then with all the opposition gone and no Civil War/militias the government and Iraqi military could be easily set up and trained. Once the country is in control we could open borders to the Iraqi Army and leave the country to them. May not work, but it is a plan and it would take less than a year to complete.

We're stuck in Iraq if people like it or not. People complain about innocent lives being taken and all that, but imagine if the troops weren't there to protect the people. We could have kept Saddam in power in the first place, but now he is gone a job needs to be done. If we let the terrorists get into the heads of the new leaders we will be back in Iraq in 2020.

The Middle East will never be peaceful without ending the Israeli occupation. This is the conclusion of the UN, EU, Backer-Hamilton report, and President Carter new book.

Since Bush started it, we just can't
leave them like we did before. I say
train them(the Iraqi army) and get out of there. I'd like to see Bush send his twins over to fight like our brave women are. But, they are to busy partying like dad use too.

Well, that's the big question, isn't it?

Things certainly can't contiue as they are, and I can't even begin to imagine what would happen if we left it as is - so what choice do we have?

Good question.
