Not at all. Demons are still around, but when people don't summon them anymore they get sidelined in favor of the new demons who have been created by the human collective. Go grab the Clavicula Solomonis and do one of the rituals, you will have a bona fide demon in your living room (and you'll be stuck replacing the carpet and repainting the walls, the stench is something no book can ever warn you enough about).

Well, it went something like this. Prior to Jesus coming to Earh and being video taped in Heaven, Demons were allowed to be physical here on Earth.
After the "Earth Show" ,a popular tv program in Heaven, the COG (council of Government) on Planet H (heaven) took away Satan's physical power.
Now, Satan is just limited to his sales pitch, he whispers in your ear by mental telepathy.
PS: To give us free will and not to intimidate us to choose God out of Fear, God also agreed to limit his powers to whispering in your ear by mental telepathy.

Alive and well. Demon activity is quite common in 3rd world countries where animism is still rampant and the occult.
