I've had internet phone for about a year now and it's been great. It's a lot cheaper (we have unlimited long distance to Europe) and has pretty good quality. It has has a few more years to go to equal to regular phone quality, but it's close.

As for Vonage I have heard that their quality and service sucks. Make sure that you ask how much the taxes are going to raise the $24.99 p/month they advertise. If you make lots of long distance calls then buy Vonage. If not then stick with your phone. I would actually wait a couple of years before switching to the internet phone (VoIP) craze. The technology still has to be improved a little.

Note: You have to have cable internet (DSL won't fly) and a router (unless they supply one with the phone) for it to work. I recommend D-Link routers due to their excellent firewall compatibiliy.

Had it got rid of it...it didn't work most of the time. Couldn't call out and noone could call in. Because they didn't have a terminal in my town everything was long distance to call or receive a call.

When I called them all their centers are in India and they can hardly be understood.

I do not recommend it at all.

They suck. They never fixed my equipment problem so I cancelled. Sunrocket will give you one year, maybe even two years, for $199.

Two bit and for that - way too much.

Service and quality are not worth mentioning.
