Take the big bang for ex, we KNOW that the universe is expanding from some central point. This has NOTHING to do with the existence or non-existence of God, if you believe in God, you would assume that God set the big bang in motion.

I do not understand why people automatically assume that you have to pick either science or religion, science says nothing about whether or not God exists, it's all about documenting the world around us.

It doesn't have to.

Speaking of the Big Bang, at first many scientists, including Albert Einstien, were reluctant to accept it because it "sounded to much like Christianity". Before this scientists accepted the Static Universe theory, i.e., that the universe had simply always existed. Einstien spent a good part of his career dispuiting the Big Bang Theory, but he finally accepted it and later wrote how he regretted trying to refute it for so long.

The conflict comes when either side moves into an area that it has no business. During the Middle Ages, some churchmen tried to use the church to condemn anyone who advocated something that they didn't believe in. The subject, whether the earth went around the sun, or whether the sun went around the earth is not specified in scripture. We still speak of sunrise.

Today, the shoe is on the other foot. Scientist have become so proud that they will not admit that something is beyond their knowledge. They try to explain the origin of life. There is no scientific explanation for the origin of life. So they cling to Darwin's notion that life spontaneously originated (something that they cannot do in a laboratory), and from this life, all others evolved. This is not science. It is dogmatic belief.

Religion needs to stick to its area, and science needs to stay in its. There should never be a conflict between true science and revealed religion.

Youre going to get an overwhelming response. Without looking it looks something like this: "Duh dont you know you can either believe science or the Bible, idiot!"

Atheists have been on a smear campaign trying to make it out that Christians are just a bunch of anti-science nutjobs that reject reason. Its that type of mindless propaganda that most atheists accept because it makes their position seem more attractive. Classic playground tactics, make your enemy look bad so you can look good. Everything you said was absolutely true, there is no conflict between science and religion or even science and the Bible.

Thank you for this statement. In my opinion you are correct. Science actually confirms the existence of GOD. Have a great evening.

Science only uses what God already created. Science cannot duplicate everything God created. Science isn't always right. There are plenty of things that science cannot explain.

Because some religions insist of getting beyond the metaphysical into the physical, and therefore contradict established science.
