Con: I would imagine this pup being one that will need a tremendus amount of excerise and stimulation. Both of these breeds are very active and smart. It will be up to you to provide a ton of excerise and activity.
Pro: again-very smart and active.
I think it would depend on you whether these are pros or cons.

There is no way of predicting what the personalities of mixed breed dogs will be. It could take after the beagle, after the aussie or have traiats that neither of the breeds have. You should not have to pay for a mixed breed. Adopt one from an animal shelter.

why would you buy such a mutt anyway? Most likely to have problems. Go to a shelter....and get a dog

Please consider going to your local ASPCA or SPCA and adopt a loving pup waiting to go home with you.
I volunteer at animal shelters and know how much a good home means to a dog when he or she is adopted.
