that is a very good question. the only way to get to the bottom of this is to contact your congressperson and talk about it. Usually when something like this happens it because in this case people of Mexican ancestory feel that they have been wronged by the U.S. government and that is there way of protesting. Those people are called idiots, I am a Mexican, but I know how and when to do things. I don't disrespect the US flag or the Mexican Flag.

As a US Soldier, If i see the Mexican Flag over or own, i will take it down and break everyone's neck who tries to stop me. If your so proud of your flag go back to your country. This is how i see it. I'm going to snap someones neck if i see it. No questions. I don't put my A** on the line for that crap, how disrespectful. It's pretty sad they will fly their flag over a country they probably illegally came in just to be an American wannabe. I hate idiots who are fake like the first person to respond to your question.

I don't care if your in Mexico, the American flag should be over and Mexican. At least our country is worthy of it.

It's an outrage. When a Mexican buzzard rag is flown in America, something is very wrong. It's so disrespectful towards our veterans, dead and alive.

....and they wonder why they are hated. If they want to fly that piece of shi t, they need to go back to their third world sh it hole.

I'm not justifying any disrespect to the symbol of America our flag. But this happened last year .Its been hashed and rehashed.
Its mostly a bunch of teenagers that just wanted a reason to get out of school and this ignorance provided it.If the majority of them were told that they had to go to Mexico they would be crying their eyes out and begging to stay here.
There is no way that this should have been allowed to happen.I blame the kids for not having any sense and the schools and the police for not having any control. They should have been suspended from school for this incident or worse.
The American flag will always wave over this nation.NO other flag.Get some intelligence. When you disrespect the US flag you can get hurt.Trust me as the US military man Joe just told you.
You can get hurt.

this is disrespectful for anyone in their home country ,but why everyone insist that only Mexicans are the invaders and not mention other countries .I agree that putting a flag over another one and we should all live upon the rules of the country we live in and respect every one and not try to keep on being very nationalist but instead to try to adopt to the American life and American society

No matter what flag it is, by international procedures it is wrong. No country's flag has the right to fly above another it's international ettiquite.

BUT THOSE MEXICANS HAVE TO RESPECT THE FLAG THAT MILLIONS OF AMERICANS FOUGHT FOR AND ARE STILL FIGHTING FOR. THEY DO NOT AND SHOULD BE KICKED OUT!!!!!

If you had read the caption in the link you posted:

School officials keep an eye on marching students as hundreds showed up to Montebello High School and urged those students to leave the school and protest against proposition HR 4437 on March 27, 2006, at the Montebello school. The Mexican flag was raised at the school by the protesting students, shown in the background. Students walked from El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera to Pioneer High School in Whittier, then on to Whittier High School, to Montebello High School and then to downtown Los Angeles.
