Do the parents of all the kids who are still missing not pray hard enough to deserve a 'miracle' like the one in Missouri? Or is it that God likes the parents of the two recovered boys better than most?

Are you suggesting your god is powerless to stop satan? Are the kids missing despite god's will, or with his approval?

God loves all equally. But Satan is roaming this Earth like a thief in the night. We know from the Bible how powerful he is. God doesn't want those children to be missing. Satan does. Along with praying hard, you have to step out in faith. Believe that God has the power to return your child and will (like Elizabeth Smart's Father) and your child will be returned.

Everything happens for a reason. It could be that their prayers aren't being answered because they haven't given themselves to God fully. Ever stop to think how many people ask for God's help in the face of adversity and have never asked before in their life unless something is wrong. All of a sudden, now they know God, but last week when all was going well did they stop and GIVE THANKS to God for all going well??? This is why some prayers are answered and some are not.
If you devote yourself to God, he will answer ALL prayers for you.

Everything happens for a reason. Maybe the missing children would have had a worse fate if they hadn't of disappeared or died.

It is very difficult and often impossible to understand God's ultimate and perfect will in situations like these.

Ecclesiastes 2:26:
26 God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. But if a sinner becomes wealthy, God takes the wealth away and gives it to those who please him. This, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind.

I guess it goes for children too.
