Absolutely nothing wrong with it as long as you don't "obsess" about it and let those thoughts interfere with your daily activities. MANY people fear death!

If you have a really bad fear of death, it's called necrophobia. You can see a therapist to get rid of it. And no, it is not wrong to fear anything. Fear is the most controlling emotion, and so people can't really help it when they are afraid of something. Don't ever feel guilty about what you are afraid of. Also, don't feel bad about questioning your religion. Just as long as you don't get into arguments with other people about it, believe what you want. God will not punish you for what you believe in. Do you think all people who live in different countries and don't believe in our God get punished after death? No. Just because you were raised with one religion doesn't mean you have to agree with everything about it. I'm pretty sure nowadays people are able to change their religion. That just proves how easygoing and less strict people are today about religion versus 400 years ago.

Fearing death is only normal, for we do not know what will come of death. But, I think Socrates has a pretty good quote on fearing death "To fear death, my friends, is only to think ourselves wise, without being wise: for it is to think that we know what we do not know. For anything that men can tell, death may be the greatest good that can happen to them: but they fear it as if they knew quite well that it was the greatest of evils. And what is this but that shameful ignorance of thinking that we know what we do not know?"

"Que sera, sera." - What happens, happens.

Live for today and for friends, but most of all live for yourself. Don't worry about death, because it is inevitable. Just go into each day knowing you ARE alive and tomorrow is another day where anything and everything can happen. So don't regret and live in the past, but instead look to the future.

I don't think it's wrong to fear death, It would be wrong to spend most of your time thinking about it. You can not chose how and when you die, unless you chose to end your own life, which is wrong. I think all you can do is make the most of everyday. Choose to enjoy your life. Make everyday count. Enjoy all the pleasures of life, family, friends, all the things that are important to you. Life is what you make it.

the fear of death is one of the most common things people fear. We all will die but it is one of those things you cannot control. Therefore it is a large fear.

Hi Brian,
It is so normal to fear the unknown,
and death is at the top of the list.
As it is something we can´t avoid,
make the best of 'life'. When your
time to go comes, it will come, and
I firmly believe whatever comes afterwards
is nothing to fear. So stop worrying, and
start enjoying, my friend.
Good luck, good life, good passing when
it comes!
