A doctor told me once you could lose weight just eating grapefruits but can you eat grapefruits the rest of your life?

Yes, that would allow you to lose weight. Though then you would probably be grumpy and usually pretty tired.

When you do not get enough calories to run your body things like your mood and how capable you are of thinking things through are affected.

You are better off maintaining a healthy diet with exercise. It may not be everyone's favorite thing but afterwards you will feel energized and happy.

Yes, but you need to have AT LEAST 1000 calories a day, and be sure to include lean protein like grilled chicken or salmon. Maybe cut out fruit initially as it is high on the glycemic index, and have salad or other veggies instead.

Youd lose alot of weight, but also be very unhealthy. You should not limit your foods so much as the amount of food. If you want to lose weight, get some exercise.
