It's a masturbation fantasy for them. I would think it only works when the girl returns the messages.
I suppose you could call it, personal porn.
As to why. Well most guys, get horny, on a daily basis, and the thoughts of sex, controls their actions.
If he loves you, and you love him, it could be a way to be closer.
But if it offends you, and you don't care for it, you better let him know.
