Where your ancestors are from and what have you or they done for this country.

Haha thats pretty funny, I juan to know because I read alot of these answers and alot of times are pretty harsh. Just want to know how many people are originally from the U. S. and beleive me Illegal Immigration pisses me off too. But I dont care as long as you make something out of yourself and help the country you come to. I am not trying to "backup" illegals.

Does everyone feel better when they piss people off? I do. Oh yeah Im in the final process of becoming a Border Patrol Agent. My point here is that Not everyone is 100 % native. And that everyone originates from somewhere wether it be legal or not. And everyone has a chance to do something in life. You cant judge everyone because of a few. And I love Immigrants i think everyone should own one. IM JUST KIDDING!!!! Laugh!

I'm Danish, Dutch, English, Irish and a wee bit Native American. (kind of white, huh?) My family has been actively involved in the air force and intelligence agencies for many generations, although I'm not continuing the tradition. I'm going into veterinary medicine.

Obviously I'm not an immigrant - but I wasn't sure if this question was for immigrants only, or you were asking us to include whether or not we were one. Oh well.

My great great grandparents immigrated from Ireland. I have had countless family members in the Army, Navy and Air Force including my father. My great uncle was killed in WWII in the North Atlantic. My cousin is currently a Navy Seal. I support all troops although I did not elect to join any of the armed forces.

I am originally from Guatemala but don't "discriminate." As far as what I've done for the country is become part of it, like help in charity organizations, helping people that need my translation skills, oh and I've fixed the computer of nearly every American friend I have.

I was born right here, in the U. S. A. And as for what I've done for this country, I served 22 years U. S. A. F., but I did not serve so that illegal immigrants could have any rights. ( well ok 1 right, a free bus ride back to the country they came from )

My grand dad was Irish, and he came over legally years ago. My mother is Native American. I'm raising 3 great kids to be stand up citizens of America. That's my contribution. I'm all for TRUE immigrants, those that abide by our laws to come over. It's the illegal aliens that I have a BIG, BIG, BIG problem with. They don't respect our laws when they sneak over, so there is no reason to believe they will be law abiding once they're here.

My ancestors came here from Ireland when they were giving away free land (i.e. legal immigration). They worked their fingers to the bones farming and picking cherries, something that continued when my own father was a child.

What did they contribute? They worked, they did not take welfare, my grandfathers were both in WW2, 6 of my Uncles did multiple tours in Vietnam.

What do I do? I abide by the law. I pay my taxes. I work. I don't take welfare. I will have babies who are true American citizens and raise them with the values of people who came here for me who were willing to WORK for a better life.
