I have a cactus with long thin leaves. I am not sure what type it is. Do you know of any types of cacti that grow leaves.

All cacti have leaves, although they are modified leaves. The needles are a type of modified leaf. I want to say it might be a Christmas cactus but I can't find an image of what I was told was Christmas cactus when I was young.
It is very difficult to give any identification just based on it having long thin leaves. I have listed a site and several species listed there that might help you. The last one, Disocactus ackermannii, form the Oaxaca/Veracruz region of Mexico is the closest to the cactus I was told is Christmas cactus.
