I guess you could call me a mixture between tomboy and girly girl since I dress like a girly girl but act like a tomboy. Anyway I have a lot of guy friends and whenever I bring over a guy from my work (I'm a professional model) they instantly hate on him. I usually play sports with my friends which usually consist of football and they'll seriously hurt my male coworker that he may not work for awhile since he has bruises which is bad for a model and is obviously hurt. They don't act like this when I bring a guy that isn't a model especially one that isn't attractive at all. I know that my guy friends really care about me but sometimes it feels like they smother me because whenever I'm with a guy that I have a crush on they instantly ruin the conversation and drag me away from him. Whats up with their attitude???

Could it be that they don't respect him because he's a male model? There is a stigma against "pretty boys" that they aren't "real men" so maybe your friends are trying to test him to see if he's a "real man." You should talk to your guy friends about how you feel and draw a line on how they can act around guys that you like. It's not okay for them to treat your crush this way if it makes you upset (and makes him miss work). It could be that they don't think that any guy is good enough for you, so they're just going to chase them all away. Maybe they secretly want to be with you. A lot of times guys are friends with the beautiful girl because they think one day she'll want to be with him in a serious way. Could be that they are waiting for this and don't want competition from any other man. But who knows. Guys are weird!

Those guys are claiming you in their minds, whether they'll or you'll admit it or not. Trust me, guys would rather hang out with another attractive man than an overweight dude. I've lived it and seen it. That's why as a heterosexual man I'd rather hang with a woman any day, I don't have any male friends and I am happily married. The whole issue bugs me out to this day.

Maybe partly babying you becasure you're "one of the guys" and partly because guys don't like competition for attention.

Why don't you keep them separate ? Sometimes it's better to not let friends meet friends.
