i just started my a new job about 6 months ago, i bring home around 285.00 a week after the governemnt takes 95.00 of it. MY parents no longer claim me, i live with them, and I go to county college full time. I previously worked at a drugstore and i didn't make that much money.

Student or not, makes no difference, other than you may qualify for some education credits.

Without knowing how much you made and how much was witheld, there is no way to answer your question.

Being a student has nothing to do with your tax status or your refund.

If you made less than $8450 in 2006 and are not claimed as a dependent, then you'd get back all the federal income tax withholding you paid in.

It would depend on how much you made and if your parents can claim you still. You can go to the site below and they can give you a free estimate.
