You should set your eyes on other guys...I think he's not that interested in you... I don't advice you to go out of your way just to catch his attention. The 'rule of the jungle' still holds true in this day and age! The male chases the female, not the other way around... if you do, the guy usually loses interest in chasing you.
If you ignore him and stay your beautiful self, he might yet take notice of you.... Good luck!

Oh for Pete's sake, what is the problem? You walk up to the "guy", grab his hand, and yank out onto the dance floor. Life is way too short for all these games. If you like him and want to dance then just go claim him!

Are you in middle school? I ask that because that is typical amongst guys and girls in middle school to use their friends to talk to others they "like". I am a junior in high school and if I want to ask a girl to dance, then I just go up and ask because I have become accustomed to speaking with girls that I know or in some cases don't know. He must be shy around you because he is talking through his friend. He may like you, but I suggest that you walk up to him and ask him face to face. His reactions can tell you how he feels.

why don't you just ask him?? why does it always have to be the guy asking the girl?

my guess is that he's shy, and it's easier for someone to push the two of you together. he's afraid that the only way you and he will be together if it's pushed in - and that you may only do it because of that one reason alone. does that make sense?

he probably likes you, want's to be with you, but is afraid you'll say no, because you were kind of talked into it. but if your not afraid, you can ask him.

Well if I was a guy I'd be looking for a woman who showed some interest in me so just show some interest in him and listen when he talks to you. But even then there's no guarantee that someone else won't catch his eye.

is this guy 14? if he's an adult, he has the lack of self confidence displayed by young teenagers. Any grown man (>21) who is sending his friend as messanger is immature... or maybe his friend actually likes you and is also not confident to do something about it..

Maybe. But it always depends on the guy. Maybe he just wants to know if he has another enemy(all the other girls this has happened to!!!)?

I think he does want to dance with you. He wouldn't be asking otherwise.

Why are you relying on friends to get the job done?? Go up to him and start talking to him..... get to know him better. He's probably nervous..... and the only way to get to him is to make him feel comfortable around you.
