It will hurt the first time slightly, but, if it is done correctly the pain is bare-able. Make sure to pull the skin in the area tight before ripping the strip off. And be fast about it! I use Sally Hansen wax strip kit. They are easy to use. No heating, No mess, No goo everywhere, I swear by them, and after repeated usage, the hair actually grows back thinner and thinner( Growing back thicker is just an old wives tale). Waxing is definately worth it because shaving leaves ingrown hairs that are more painful than the waxing!

Well it does hurt, but it doesnt hurt as much as a Brazillian Wax (everything gone). Some things you can do to help ease the pain:
1. Make sure the hair lenght is not too long, other wise it hurts more.
2. Put baby powder (dont know why but they do that for me at
the salon)
3. Drink a shot of TEQUILA
oh and get something to bite on, so you wont scare the whole neighborhood with screams :D and very important relax!! it does hurt, but it's definitely worth it.

yes it hurts. but not as bad as you would think. i've had a full out brazilian bikini wax.. where they wax ALL of the hair.. all the way down to your bum. and even that wasn't too bad. i'd recommend buying a waxing kit that has some oil in it to apply afterwards, helps prevent irritation. if your kit doesn't have oil, buy a small thing of grapeseed oil, or at least olive oil, and rub some over the area. wear loose clothing for a few hours after the wax.. i'd recommend baggy sweats and go commando. good luck!

Yes - but it will start to ease up quickly. The first time is the worst for obvious reasons (more stuff to remove), but it gets easier from there on out.
It definitely makes the neatest "clean up" in the long run.
I agree it's WAY too expensive in a salon.
Take a pain med BEFORE she does it. Then take more later ONLY if you need it. Pain meds work best when you anticipate pain coming. It'll set you up for it.
GOOD LUCK!!

Is it your first time doing it? Does your chum understand what she is doing? that is going to damage the first few cases, then you definately get use to it and also you'll have a lot less hair the more effective you do it and the hair does skinny out. i might want to recommend going to a salon to do it if its your first time, then you definately can do it at living house your self. it truly is what I did. Cream Wax (its pink) is the perfect for me on that section considering its for tender pores and skin and that is a lot less complicated to apply, that is like putting cream on your pores and skin (regardless of the reality that very sticky) you've a a lot less probability of pulling on the floor to frustrating with it.

Do you have any Italian or French in your blood line by chance?
Have you seen the movie "40 Year Old Virgin"? Funny, funny scene in the salon. It only hurts if you breathe.

it will hurt much for the first time but as she continues, you will feel less pain cos your bikini line will look too good for you to give up.
