This is what I've heard but I figured I'd take it to the polls. I've had long hair my whole life, but I want to do something different. Everyone keeps giving me dire warnings if I cut it. So Guys in all honesty I know this is a very frivolous question but do you prefer long hair or shorter hair!

Marie, please give our regards to your bf for selflessly serving his country. I hope he returns to you safe and sound and I know he'll be a great citizen.

Not a frivolous question at all. GUYS LIKE LONG HAIR !! The reason is what's in the male makeup (how our brains are wired). This goes to the basic male biological function which is to reproduce. And our brains are wired to pick out the most fertile from the female species. That is why men are very visual creatures, and are stimulated by attractive women. Long hair is a symbol of female fertility, just as much as a pretty face can be, or a large chest, nice figure or very shapely hips, attractive legs, etc.

So, as my late mother used to say, a woman's hair is her crowning glory.

Long Hair

Yes, I prefer longer hair.

There's this woman at church who I always thought was gorgeous (I once asked her out on a date, got a definite "not interested" response, we stayed friends), but she's been letting her hair grow long for a few months now, and she just looks better every time I see her.

Come to think of it, every relationship I've had that lasted at all was with a woman who kept her hair long.

I also have a friend who cut her hair short to get rid of a stalker. It worked: he lost interest almost immediately.

My hubby prefers my new, short hair than the long hair I used to have. But some guys prefer long hair. In the long run, though, do whatever you like and if you think it looks good/sexy/whatever, then you'll exude confidence which men find very attractive....plus drastic changes like you describe will grab people's attention and possibly attract some new guys.

You know I had long blonde curly hair down to the bottom of my butt my entire life. Never had alot of attention from guys. I cut it so short recently that my hair is as short as a normal guys haircut. I have NEVER EVER gotten so much attention from guys.

Guys love short hair just as much as long. You can see the next, its pulled back from your face. Its hot and sexy.

You do what you want to do. What ever makes you more confident it will show in your eyes and in your daily attitude. Men want confidence...doesn't have anything to do with the length of your hair.

Well I am a girl, but I can answer on my boyfriend and his two roomates behalf. The three of them plus my ex and almost all of my guy friends prefer long hair. With that being said I cut mine off anyways. Do what you want who cares what some guy wants.

Long hair is definitely a plus. I like to think if a woman takes the time out to maintain/fix her hair she is confidant of her self. And knows what she wants. Longer hair is harder to maintain and therefore requires more of her time. I appreciate a woman who takes the time to make sure her look is correct.

Not necessarily! Depends on many factors but mostly does the woman look good with long hair or not.

I prefer longer hair, because shorter hair makes guys think of their grandmothers, not their girlfriends.

Longer hair mostly, with a few exceptions. Say, if you are Hale Bery. If you are still young, why not try it? You can fix it up in 3 months easily.
