There are limits to what works and what does not work. Depends on exactly how big you are talking about I guess. Some of those poodle crosses are from fairly big mixes.... but instead of buying a purebred dog which may or may not have extra health problems associated with the breeding, visit the local pound or SPCA and get yerself a nice homeless mutt that really needs your love :)

A big male will cause potentally dire results. It may kill the little female to carry such big pups, or the pups will die inside from not enough space and nutrients; a bad choice. A big female can handle a little male, if he can do the deed. However, the pups may have genetic problems. Either way, if given a choice and its not already happened, I would caution against it. If you already have a prenant dog, you may want to consider having them removed to save the female. A vet can do this without harming her, in most cases.

Yes. For safety and the best rate of success, the female needs to be the larger dog. Anything else is animal cruelty. If the mating was accidental and the female is the smaller dog, take her to the vet and abort while you can.

Technically speaking, it is feasible for a smaller and and a larger breed of dog to mate. I definitely don't recommend the female being the small breed because she wouldn't be able to give birth to his puppies...

Yes. I wouldn't reccomend the B*itch being the smaller dog. My brother had a female cockapoo and she had a litter by a big dog, it was very hard on her.

I suppose, but it would probably be better if the boy is the smaller dog. I wouldn't want to be a mom chiahuha giving birth to a half great dane dog. ouch

yes most of the time they can, but it depends on how small the dog is. if the small dog is the female one it really depends because it might not be able to carry a dog of size since its so small. good luck :)

yes but it is very dangerous for the little dog when it gives birth, usually results in a c-section or death
