I have had hives for months and wonder if my allergist is doing everything possible to find it's cause, even though I know that I may never know the cause. I have had blood tests done and now have stopped eating certain foods to see if it makes a difference. When should I get a second opinion? Is it possible that he is missing something? I have been suffering for several months!! It's costing me time and money and I still have no answers. So I ask, when is a good time to see someone else? Whaddya think?

Yes, you have a food allergy. If it was contact dermatitis, it would not happen regularly or would only give you a rash. Hives are from a food.

try using oils in your bathwater, like olive oil, baby oil, etc.
stop going and doctor yourself.
