I love a good thick couple of pieces of wholegrain bread. Artisan breads look nice but they can be very chewy and difficult to eat. Baguettes are good, as long as they are no more than a few hours old. A good soft bap is nice too but will probably go soggy if the sandwiches are pre-made.

Make sure to have white and wheat. But if you ask me, I'd say sourdough, and onion rolls. I couldn't get my customers to like sourdough though. *rolls eyes* Here, that's all the rage. Nobody will ask for white.

Also popular is olive loaf and pumpkin seed for sandwiches.

I like 7 grain. It's a hearty bread...it's not soft and airy. Of course it kinda depends on what kind of sandwich your making...I love pumperknickle for patty melts or for reubens.

Thickly sliced white, preferably from a fresh locally baked crusty loaf, like that made by my local bakers E. Botham & Sons http://www.botham.co.uk
http://www.botham.co.uk/seed/recip.htm
or
White bread buns / rolls / "floury baps" (white bread roll dusted with flour)..

I would say brown, or whole wheat. I don't eat white bread, it's bad for you and tastes horrible.
