He is jumping on you because he is excited and wants to play.

To get him to stop, you need to train him with lots of praise and patience. Let him know that you do not wish to be jumped on. Praise him and give him a hug or a little treat when he comes to you without jumping. Never yell or hit him.

When your dog jumps stand as still as you can with your arms by your side like a tree. Dont move! And keep standing like a tree until he stops. Trust me he will stop, when he jumps on you he is looking for a reaction from you and if you are a tree and dont do a thing he will stop. Do this everytime he jumps and he will soon get bored of it.

Good luck!

cuz he loves you and you have not taught him not to.... when he jumps on you,, grab hold of his feet and squeeze lightly. DO NOT LET him get down,,,, you must keep him up on his hind legs for awhile,,, eventually he is going to want to get down,,, do not let him, hang on for a few more seconds, then, place hiis two front paws on the floor and say "good Off" and pat him and scratch him,,,, chances are, he is going to be very excited and jump right back up,, DO THE SAME THING AGAIN,,,, you will do this a couple times per day,, until the dogs starts to understand that he will only get petted when ALL 4 FEET are on the ground,,, good luck,,, this has never been known to fail,,, email if you need more info

He's exited and likes you.
To stop him, try this technic:
Put him on a leash and at about a ft. or ft.1/2,step on it.
Hold a treat in your hand and call him by name.
Hold the treat up higher as he jumps.
He will get pulled back down by the leash if you step on it hard enough.

get your parent's to help you train the dog. you have to have a firm voice, teach the dog to stop jumping on you.. put your hand flat out over his/her nose and with a firm, but not yelling, voice, tell the dog DOWN. repeat it 3 times. keep up this method each time the dog jumps on you and of course get your parent's involved. Just remember, dogs need dicipline too, but that your dog just loves you and that his/her way of getting the attention from you and showing you that he/she is happy to see you. However it is not appropriate for dogs to jump on anyone, so be patient and continue training your dog. good l uck :-)

when you see the dog coming, stand straight as soon as he starts to jump put your knee up and give him one in the chest. this will knock him down.
when you do that yell no, bad dog!
this may take a couple of times but trust me it works!!!

he's happy to see you and probably wants some attention, simply fold your arms turn away and ignore him. if he follows you turn away again and keep doing this...he'll get the message.don't worry about upsetting him he'll be fine
