So why don't we abandon religions once for all, and live the way we were meant to? We should distroy religions here and now.

wow such strong openions towards something so un-Godly... lol you asked me why we don't destroy bars? because bars were made by men to go drink beer in them, and they do exactly what they were meant to do.. religions on the other side are not doing what they're supposed to do. God doesn't even like religions... I hope you guys be guided to the truth .

because there are people out there that need that reassurance in their life because they are insecure with who they are and they need to lean on an imgaginary creator for support. sad really.

I generally agree that, as a species, we should stop believing in the literal or fundamental truth of religions. But this is not just because religions are man-made; rather, it is because they can be so bad for us.
There are some good aspects to some religions, such as charity activity, community togetherness, and certain lessons in morality. I also think that religion is important as cultural history. It would be best to try to preserve these positive aspects, if possible, and abandon the rest. This would be determined based on reasonable merits, if any. The fundamentalist elements must be abandoned. It would no longer make sense (to anyone) to say that "god says so" or "the bible says so", since these would no longer be considered valid sources of authority. The bible would be seen as something like Aesop's Fables, or Roman and Greek mythology.

God never instituted religion. He only desired to have a personal relationship with us. Mankind is the one that makes it a religion. However, once a group of people get together to encourage each other in their relationship with God, people like you call it a religion and say abolish it. We live in a free society, if you don't like religion, join the communists.

It sounds like you feel like you have an objective place to judge things?
I'm at Oxford University and the vast majority of philosophers and theologians, infact almost all of the prophessors (of whatever subject) are theists... they believe God. The vast majority of people in the world (ie outside of America) believe in God in some form.
Your basic presupposition doesn't seem to hold water.
Perhaps it's not that you don't believe in God but that you wonder if God believes in you? If you're really interested in this more than just as a debate, check out John's Gospel.

I believe that man created religion....not God. But I know that God created the way to heaven through salvation in Jesus.
I don't know that other religions would want to get rid of religion...it just has to be a personal belief that you know that there is no religion.

Most religions are human institutions. The only religions founded by God Himself are Judaism, under the Old Covenant, and Catholicism, under the New Covenant.

Yes, man created it. But it is to honour G-d and have fellowship with other believers.
Man created bars, should we destroy them all?? Where would the drunks meet and worship their beer?
