Microbiologists can't figure out where the carbon came from? Or is it how carbon and hydrogen bonded? Or is it more complicated than that? I really only have a rudimentary understanding of organic chemistry, but it is pretty obvious that all of the basic precursors to life are fairly easy to make under natural conditions.

Simply untrue. Look up meteorite impacts in early earth ans amino acids. I believe some of this research has been done at NASA's Johnson Space Center Experimental Impact Laboratory.

Then, we EXPECT you can tell us PRECISELY how they do turn into organics. I'd like to hear this one too...
I'm not a big fan of TBN going back to the Jim Bakker days and they probably stacked the deck in their favor, but to be frank I know of NO experiement in which inorganic materials spontaniously converted into organics under any situation.

complex organic molecules form naturally, even in the harsh environment of space. and even nucleotides form naturally. rocks???? of course they wouldn't know why rocks formed into complex organic molecules as they form from the base organic chemicals usually in a liquid. that's a bit like saying engineers don't know why skyscrapers developed from bunny rabbits. what is TBN, it sounds like a font of ignorance and lies.
