Homemade Sloppy Joes - 2 lbs ground beef (guess you could substitute turkey if you want) 1 1/3 cup ketchup 1/2 tbsp mustard 1 tbsp brown sugar 1 1/2 tbsp sweet pickle relish 1/2 cup water (better to use HOT water) 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (this is optional) 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper Brown meat (with onion) Drain well, pat with paper towel Put meat back into frying pan Mix all remaining ingredients Pour mixture over meat Bring to a boil Simmer uncovered 20-30 minutes Serve on potato rolls This feeds 3 grown men plus me (eats like a bird) for 2 full meals. Great to make a full batch and freeze 2/3 of it for those crazy nights when you don't want to cook. Can be defrosted & reheated in the microwave. Serve with french fries and corn on the cob or salad. HINT - DS and DH love this, but kind of freaked out when they saw what went into it. So now I cook it when they're not watching :-) That's my easiest recipe & biggest hit... email me if you want some more recipes.

You can't go wrong with the Holy Trinity for boys:
-Hamburgers
-Pizza
-Spaghetti

and their friend, Mac 'n Cheese. I assume you've done those. Boys like simple, one-dish meals with nothing too challenging. Assuming that they don't have any peculiar eating preferences, I'd stick with crock-pot recipies and casseroles. Noodles are popular. Mexican flavors are usually a favorite, too. Since it's one-pot, you can usually sneak in some vegetables (something actually healthy!) without a riot. Try to serve a salad with these dishes. Indulge them on choice of dressing -- kids seem to always love Ranch or Thousand Island -- but the roughage is good. Or peeled orange slices. Something raw and fresh.

im sure they can tell you what they like so im guessing you want some new recipes they would like but havent tried.
1. salisbury steak...just like hamburgers without the bun then added to stewed tomatoes to simmer. not too weird tasting and easy to make.
2. rice and mashed potatoes from the little bags....soo good and very easy.
3. fish sticks are good or fresh fish if they like it.
4. pasta is almost always a good idea for kids just change the sauce you put on top or add a new type of meat.

(if they help you cook, the are more likely to eat it too)
hope this helps.

hi there; you could always make mini pizza out of English muffins this way they can make their own and you probably could serve this with milk shakes too. You could also make chocolate chip pancakes (or any kind for that matter), french toast, grilled cheese and fresh vegetables; if you are able to grill some hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. I guess it would be pretty much up to what your boys like. You could also have them help you in planning the meals for the week and let them choose a night that they want to have this way they can be involved with the meal planning..I hope that I helped you out. Best of Health to you and your boys

Try hot dogs wrapped in croissant rolls (in the refrigerator case) with cheese.

Or how about mini meatloaves. Make meatloaves in a muffin pan and let your kids decide ketchup vs. steak sauce.

Pizza kits can be found in most stores so you and your boys can make your favorites.

Hamburger helper always makes a great meal!

You should invest in a deep fryer (for great fries fast) and a George Foreman grill (for easy hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken breast)

And remember breakfast is good for dinner too!

Good Luck!
