Why can't you take him to a vet?

You have to take him to a vet! There is nothing anyone on here can do because we are not vets. If you do not take your bird to the vet he will probably die.

Birds do not have much blood and even a small amount of blood loss can kill them. Also, if blood is coming out of his vent it is probably a quite serious injury or problem.

He isn't kind of acting like he is in pain, he IS in pain. Take him to the vet now. If you can't afford it, take him anyway and when they ask for payment offer to work for them with cleaning or something so you can pay it off or ask if you can pay it off over time. Do anything! Just get your bird to the vet!

The only thing I can suggest for the mean time if keep him warm and in a quite place and make sure there is water available to him at all times, perhaps offer foods high in water such as lettuces and watermelon. Make sure seed is available too, although he probably wont want to eat or drink much.

If you don't take him to the vet soon I can almost assure you that you will soon have a dead bird on your hands. Please, take him to the vet..

Anytime you see blood in the stool you should take a bird to the vet. Whatever you do do not use syptic powder or gel on the birds vent(butt). That can be extremly harmful to the bird due to being ingested from the vent. Syptic powder should only be used on the wings. Unfortunatly there is no product on the market that will solve your problem. Only a vet.

You have to take him to the vet. Most vets will work out a payment plan with you. Call around and explain the situation. If the vet is good at all they will see the bird and then worry about payment. PLEASE get him to a vet soon. Blood loss (especially internal) is VERY serious, and since it is coming from inside there really isnt anything you can do about it. When you find out what is wrong, Give us an update please!

If a bird is acting like he is in pain then he is in serious pain because birds will do anything to keep other animals from seeing them hurt (because in nature animals know that hurt birds are weak birds and they eat them!) Take this bird to the vet immediately, otherwise you had a hand in killing it.
