just a phase or what could be wrong ??? I have a 6 yrs old daugther and when ever I pick her up form daycare I always ask her how did she do in school , what dis she eat etc. The problem is that lately she answer me with a I DON"T KNOW and she nevers know when I ask her .. but after I stop asking her she starts tellign me what she did, what she ate and start with a conversation and not only thus when ever she goes with her dad I always ask her the same things and she does the same ... I remember my step-son doing the same thing when he was her age but is this normal in kids ??? Is this just a phase???? any advices on what to do or any experinces of this kind!!!!

My five year old son says that alot. I believe they just don't want to talk about school when they come home after being their for about 8 hours. Just a saying they say cause they know what all they done at school

This is normal. My step-son did the same thing. I read recently that it actually is that they don't remember at the time. Something later has to spark their memory. They don't know how to relate your questions to their past experiences yet. Give it a little time and she'll come around.

Yes it's perfectly normal. They can't think as fast as us so when we barrage them with questions, they confuse them. Just ask her to tell you how her day was and she can put it in our own words.

yes it is just a phase, they start this again when they become teenagers also.
