It's because of the fact that we look for it! We tend to picture in our minds our perfect image of how we want LOVE to be or how we want our love to be...... then we end up disappointing ourselves. We set our standard too high.... too high for anyone to reach that anyone who enters our hearts would end up leaving us later. We should stop looking for love and set lower and more realistic standards. The most important thing about loving is respect for the self and for the other, commitment and loyalty, and above all, a lot of selflessness...... you call this "unconditional love".
Stop looking for love and live your life to the fullest. Trust me, you'll end up much happier. But do not close your heart because eventually, love will go looking for you! Be ready to open your doors when it comes knocking at your door!
Live happy! wish u well!

I know it doesn't make much sense does it. Love should also be the easiest thing for people to give all the time and with the least effort making it the easiest thing to find.

We use the words love and hate all the time nowadays. Their powerful words that shouldn't be used lightly. Humans can't help but look for love. The greatest fear we have is being alone and with love as a safe haven we look for it. Knowing that when you love someone and they love you back your never alone. It's true that sometimes we do get hurt by love but in the end its worth it if you find true love. I sound so corny...

It's called attachment. We know that we want love as it is protrayed in every Hollywood movie there is. We know it exists, and we see those around us hopelessly in love. We want it too, and unforunately that desire can get you into a lot of trouble.

Love is great. Love is a building block of a relationship, but young love often forgets that there's more to a relationship. I can tell you from experience that I love my husband, but there are times that he annoys me to no end and I find it hard to love him! However, is it worth it?

Yes.

It's worth learning and growing. Love is going to hurt, but you have to look at WHY it hurts in the first place. Did you fall in love too quickly? Was it love at all?

Because- Love makes the world go round; love makes the world go round.
(That's the words of a song from probably 40-50 years ago)
Very true though - humans love to be in love!

It's an evolutionary process that gives us the urge to procreate. If we have feelings of love, our species will always be propogated.

Like most things, it's all a biological thing.

Falling in love is the beginning of all wisdom, all sympathy, all compassion, all art, all religion;
and in its larger sense is the one thing in life worth doing.
