HEP C is a type of viral hepatitis. It is usually transmitted by blood-to-blood transmission and appears not to be as readily transmissible by bodily fluids as Hepatitis B virus or HIV.

It would depend on local laws regarding people with infectious diseases working in food handling positions.

To my understanding, the local laws in Australia do not prohibit anyone with HEP C from working in the food handling industry. It would be difficult for them to transmit the virus so long as they adhered to usual safety measures in food handling and even if accidents did occur, transmission of the virus would be highly unlikely.

While it has been fought and won, not all cases would result in a win, I suspect.
