There is a shop near me that sells all the old sweets they get them from Kettering and all are made in the traditional way I usually get rhubarb and custard, tangerine balls, sour apples and strawberry and cream they are all boiled sweets they sell loads and are yummie have got my brother bulls eyes and aniseed ball he loves them think I got the shop lots of custom when if first opened me and my friend went in we are in our late 40's and our mouths were full cause he was letting us taste them we were definitely like kids in a sweetie shop

I liked secrets - really fine strands of chocolate wrapped round and round this moussey chocolate middle. Also Mountain bars, shaped like a row of mountains complete with white chocolate snow-capped peaks and filled with fondant. Coconut boosts too, yum!

My faves were Nutty Bars!!! A chunk of fudge covered in peanuts. Mmm. I also liked Cabana Bars, which were filled with caramel, coconut and cherries.
Bring them back!!!

texan bars were brought back in my local shop. They were smaller than i remembered and not so good wonder if our memories get distorted about flavours as we get older. My favourites were fizzy lizzys

surely these sweets would be out of date by now?
can they still sell them?
texans had a revival, few years ago...smaller (or are my hands bigger) and ....wel....cheaper'ly made? not quite the same.
still, manufacturers are making a price point comodity, aimed at a preteen consume demographic....not yummy candy bars.
