I grew up believing in God but when I was a teenager I became an atheist and really hated the church and all of Christianity. Later through a weird series of events God revealed himself to me in prayer and different ways. I follow the teachings of Jesus because he is the truth God revealed to me.

I chose it, because it teaches what the Bible teaches, rather than what individuals or groups of person/s --who claim to follow the Bible, but who go contrary to it-- teach. I know this because I study the Bible, & compare it to what I'm told, regularly.

I chose it after taking a look at some of the other stuff out there. I didn't have to actually look for information on the Christian faith that much since that information in all kinds of forms is passed around me almost all the time. I just felt I couldn't accept that stuff, not from a library of books (The Bible) that I have no idea who written and that everyone had their own ideas on what it meant.

At one time, all universities quite were non secular insitutions or heavily inspired by faith (Oxford and cambridge both began that way), and many nonetheless are (at the same time with the Brigham youthful college). in the journey that they can educate that crap, why no longer women folk's study. a minimum of human beings might want to study some thing they have not heard 2 zillion cases previously. besides, in case you study the tale, this guy is a fruitcake, honestly no longer a poster boy maximum blokes might want to opt for. Cheers :-)

I was born into Christianity. I chose to become a Born-Again Christian. Then, the questions. In one fell swoop, I could not accept the teachings of Christianity. It wasn't right. My soul was practially screaming at me "WRONG! WRONG!". I began reading about other faith systems, particularly the Pagan due to my fondness for all things Gaelic. I could feel my soul being touched by this etherial religion, and it was just... Right.

I was born again by the power of God's Holy Spirit throught the name of Jesus Christ. A year later I read about what happened to me in the Bible (John Chapter 3).
After that, nobody had to convince me that the Bible is the Word of the Living God. I have since experienced many other realities that are in accordance with the Truth as disclosed in the Bible.

I was born into it, then I stuided all the religions, looked at myself, my outlook on life, my beliefs politically, and finally came to the conclusion that my denomination is a little off, but still Protestant, but I'm still a teen, so I think I've come far for my age!

My family was of my religion when I was born, however, my father really wasn't practicing when he died and my brothers chose not to be a part of it. I was raised with the understanding that we all have to individually educate ourselves and find out whether or not what we have learned is true, and I'm thankful for this. I studied hundreds of religions and appreciated many (and have respect for all), but when it came down to it the religion I chose made logical sense to me. Also, I sought confirmation from God (as I believe he answers prayers) and he answered my prayers, unequivocally.

I have a new son, and I plan on teaching him he also needs to find out for himself.

Miracles made me from atheist to Christian.

I was arrested and a drug team was searching my home....I had lots of pot, that was all found. I prayed for the 1st time in 15 years. I figured If I am going to be wrong about Jesus, now is the best time to test it out. I had a half ounce of cocaine under the couch cushion. I prayed my heart out that it would not be found....If it was not, I would give my life to Him.

As I was held overnight, apparently the search went on into the evening. There was a dog there they said in court, and I knew I was screwed. They also reported small bits of cocaine was found in the kitchen on plastic bags, so this dog has a nose for coke. I went home after being free on bail. My house was destroyed. Golf clubs broken in half, fireplace disassembled, kitchen wrecked.....etc

I went downstairs and only one thing was as I left it, the cushion on my couch. I have 2 couches there, one was torn apart, the other was left completely how it was. I reached under, and there it was. I got rid of it and have not used drugs since.

As I came more and more towards G-d, I kept going back to court. One by one, my charges continued to get dropped. Eventually they were all dismissed. Even my lawyer didn’t really understand it. They had all kinds of drugs, plants, bits of coke…lots of evidence. Yet they continually dismissed charges. Now I am 100% free and have no record at all! Praise G-d!

Also, years ago the pastor and a few of us from church prayed over a lady who had not walked in 10 years. Her feet looked swollen 3x normal size, as well as her calves. They went down before our very eyes and she walked that night.

Bless you
David T

Chose it, after many years of reading. After leaving Christianity I slowly adopted my own spiritual beliefs, and ultimately found that there was a "name" for them (or at least most of them).
