Looking for an appropriate Italian "day song" - has to be catchy, upbeat tempo, positive lyrics (not about love), be good if it has a little bit of english, doesn't matter how recent or well known it is. Some ideas I have at the moment are Spirito Libero by Giorgia or Baila Morena by Zucchero but looking for more upbeat.....

But listen to the last cd by Zucchero, "Fly" or "Flying", it's excellent!!
PS: just read the above answer: Giovannotti is excellent too, but many ones spell his name in jovannotti!

Te purely Italian singer that i know is Il Divo Il Divo is a set of four men, they seem to be a classic song singer, none of them are Italian (Spaniard, French, Swiss and American) yet i think of their pronunciation is real. a number of their songs are: nella fantasia dentro un altro si notte di luce ti amero caruso musica passera and so on

I suggest you to download songs from Giovannotti. And as a positive song, that doesn't have to do with love: piove (means rain) or, the best: penso positivo (i think positive). Both are upbeat and i think you might enojy them :D

On of the hit of the moment (recently featured by Laura Pausini but edited by Riccardo Cocciante in 1979) is "IO CANTO" (I Sing). It doesn't speak about love but about the joy to live.
